چکیده
In this paper X denotes a set, R, R1, R2 denote binary relations, x, y, z denote sets, and n, m, k denote natural numbers. Let us consider a binary relation R on X. Now we state the propositions: (1) fieldR ⊆ X. (2) If x, y ∈ R, then x, y ∈ X. Now we state the propositions: (3) Let us consider sets X, Y . Then (idX)Y = X ∩ Y . (4) 〈x, y〉 ∈ R |2 X if and only if x, y ∈ X and 〈x, y〉 ∈ R. (5) dom(X R) ⊆ domR. (6) Let us consider a total reflexive binary relation R on X and a subset S of X. Then R |2 S is a total reflexive binary relation on S. The theorem is a consequence of (4). Proof: Set Q = R |2 S. domQ = S. (7) Let us consider transfinite sequences f , g. Then rng(fag) = rng f∪rng g. Let us consider R. Let us note that R is transitive if and only if the condition (Def. 1) is satisfied.

Information Retrieval and Rendering with MML Query
Mizar, a proof-checking system, is used to build the Mizar Mathematical Library (MML). MML Query is a semantics-based tool for searching, browsing and presentation of the evolving MML content. The tool is becoming widely used as an aid for Mizar authors and plays an essential role in the ongoing reorganization of MML. We present new features of MML Query implemented in the third release and des...
متن کاملInformalising Formal Mathematics: Searching the Mizar Library with Latent Semantics
Finding required information in a library of mathematics can be problematic, just as in any other library. However, so far, there are no strong search methods based on the semantics of formal mathematics. This paper describes a new approach based on latent semantic indexing (LSI). Using this, the semantics of terms need not be explicitly defined but is indirectly inferred from a body of documen...

متن کاملThe Metamodelling Language Calculus: Foundation Semantics for UML
The Metamodelling Language (MML) is a sub-set of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) that is proposed as the core language used to bootstrap the UML 2.0 definition initiative. Since it is metacircular, MML requires an external formal semantics in order to ground it. This paper defines the MML Calculus which is used to formally define MML and therefore provides a semantic basis for UML 2.0.
متن کاملAn Action Semantics for MML
This paper describes an action semantics for UML based on the Meta-Modelling Language (MML) a precise meta-modelling language designed for developing families of UML languages. Actions are defined as computational procedures with side-effects. The action semantics are described in the MML style, with model, instance and semantic packages. Different actions are described as specializations of th...
